Sleep Apnea is a potentially life-threatening condition where a person may literally stop breathing while they sleep. This is a condition which should be diagnosed by a specially trained physician in a sleep-study facility. The most common treatment for this is a Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. However, for some moderate conditions and under the direction of the physician, or for during travel, we can make a dental appliance that can be used for treatment of sleep apnea. A lighter version of these appliances can also be used for treatment of snoring.
